After launching their first book together – The Present Moment ~ An Art Therapy Journal – Meg and Grace found themselves being asked by readers how they could become more mindful in their daily lives.
Meg has created and delivered professional development courses over the last fifteen years. Your Present Moment eCourse has been developed using the latest research on the physical, mental and emotional benefits of daily mindfulness practice.
Joined by her web developer sister, Kim and with new mandalas from Grace, Your Present Moment eCourse, will help you set up the new year with a fresh start on a mindful path.
The e-course is a mix of new themes and an expansion of some of the fifteen life themes featured in 'This Present Moment'.
You don't need to have a copy of our book to complete this e-course, but if you would like one, you can get one here. It also makes a wonderful gift!
You will be comfortable enough with computers to follow instructions via email on how to access the course materials.
Access to a printer will be useful, so you will be able to print off the beautiful new mandalas that Grace has created and also your certificate at the end of the course.
Headphones will be beneficial if listening to audio or visual elements of the course in public places!
To be a participant in the private Facebook Discussion Group you will need your own Facebook account. Please note: Participation in this group is not essential for completing the course but it is recommended to get the most out of the experience.
Communicating with others doing the course via Facebook is optional. but it will help you meet some of the social learning objectives. When we discuss our thoughts and experiences with others it creates more meaningful analysis and evaluation of the learning. Establishing connections is one very important aspect of this course.
On a computer anywhere that you can access the internet. From your bed, in a park with WiFi, during your lunch break, in a library, at your desk or dining table. You decide!
Yes, it is possible, though not recommended. We recommend accessing the course from a tablet, laptop or desktop computer.
Once enrolled in the course, you will receive an email with the course login details. If you don't find your login email please check your spam folder in your email program (or promotion/social folder etc in Gmail). If there's still nothing there, please click here and we will help.
Once you have logged in, you will remain logged in unless you log out via the Log out button in the sidebar or top right dropdown menu.
We encourage you to stay logged in (unless you are using a public computer). That way, all you need to do to return to your lessons is visit the Purple Cords Press home page and click on the course link (top right).
Life is busy. We get it. This is why we designed this course!
Always remember you choose your level of involvement in each lesson - give yourself 5 minutes, 20 or more. It's really up to you.
That is perfectly ok, just log in as soon as you can.
Research tells us it takes approximately 21 days of practice to make a new skill a habit. This is why we've developed the new YPM Mindfulness eCourse to run over 21 days.
Daily lessons provide you with easily actionable tasks that you can implement using as little or as much time as you wish to dedicate.
Enrolments will continue up until the 5th day of the start month. We will also run courses similar to this again in future.
